Casinos endangered by their own staff

Casinos have many things to worry about to keep their income flowing in rather than out. With tight security in place watching skilful players and looking out for various gadgets that might contain smart software to help patrons out in placing bets, there are still more danger coming from the side of staff. Recently, quite some reports emerged of casino staff stealing chips and turning them into money directly at the checkout or claiming them as tips from gamblers. The state of Pennsylvania itself was solving two such thefts in the last month and a celebrity daughter who works in a casino in Singapore is currently facing years of jail for embezzling chips in the casino where she worked. Online games seem to be a favourable option for many reasons, even for the operators.

Brandon Croft leads the chip counts in Atlantic City

Chip lead on day 3 of the WSOP Main Event in Atlantic City is now held by Brandon Croft, who will enter the final table as he eliminated the last female player and he will be one of the nine contestants competing for the main prize which amounts to $117,797. In total, 36 players will be rewarded with cash. Just before the tournament’s closing stage, Josh Brikis, Matt Glantz and Joanne Doris – the last woman still at the table – were eliminated. Owning the biggest stack, it won’t be problem for Croft to buy in for $1,650 to the no limit hold’em. 352 players came to Harrah’s Resort on the first day of the event. The winner will also take a diamond studded golden ring and get a seat in the one-millon-dollar WSOP national freeroll at Caesars Palace, L.A., in May.
